Transport Writer Button

My first logistics writing client was a MENA railway news website, and then Apex Insight for which I wrote for almost 10 years. I have worked with Commercial Vehicle and currently do most of my logistics writing with my core client, Transport Intelligence.

Thanks to Ti, I’ve been able to get a global understanding of the world’s supply chains, though have taken a fairly natural interest in North American and European trucking. For my low-carbon transport work, have a look at my Electric Vehicles Writing page, but a sizeable amount of my logistics writing over the years has been about general logistics operations.

Research Analysis

I am a strong communicator with primary research skills. I came into Ti as a writer with a deep interest in last mile delivery. Thanks to my understanding of global affairs and the things that make it tick – supply chains – I had a wealth of knowledge that I could contribute to the company.

Where writing is 40% research and 60% creativity, research analysis is 60% research and 40% creativity. Writers will be biased towards qualitative research but analysts will also use quantitative research – Excel spreadsheets to generate original data. This is where I differ to more traditional logistics writers – I break new ground using primary research as opposed to secondary research on the part of the writer.

Thanks to my quantitative research skills I have worked in areas beyond logistics – I’m happy to help you if you’re in a different field there too.

Third-Party Litigation Funding – the Viper in the Woodpile for US Motor Carriers? A discussion of third party litigation funding and its impact on US trucking companies’ earnings. This can be in the low-single-digit percentages so the effect is real and palpable. *Though the copy is entirely my own, I used genAI to aid the research on this article.

US Trucking Industry Says: “It’s the Economy, Stupid!”

I post regularly on LinkedIn. This article shows the American Transportation Research Institute’s latest research on priorities of stakeholders in the US trucking industry as of late 2025.

I worked with Transport Intelligence for over 2.5 years initially as a writer on sickness cover but rapidly growing into a transport expert research analyst. See some samples of the research I did in the section above, but also some financial and other shorter briefs below:

UPS CEO: Trade Doesn’t Stop – It Moves – a quarterly financial briefing for the US integrator where the CEO commented on the US tariff situation and its impact on global trade.

Operating Profit Down 22% at Culina Logistics

Publicly listed companies give lots of data out every quarter or half year. Privately owned companies don’t – Culina Logistics is one of those. The UK government enforces a certain amount of disclosure for all limited companies that is more open than many other countries. Get in touch to discuss how I can help you.
